Baest is a death metal band from Aarhus, Denmark. Formed in 2015, the group is known for a style rooted in straightforward, classic death metal. Their sound draws on the influence of bands such as Dismember, Entombed, Morbid Angel, Death and Bolt Thrower.

The band begins as part of the Danish underground and develops into an internationally touring act. They tour with Abbath in 2018 and later complete a European and UK run with Decapitated in 2019. They also appear at festivals including Summer Breeze, Copenhell, Ruhrpott Metal Meeting and Roskilde.

Baest releases the debut album Danse Macabre and follows it with Venenum in 2019, a record that continues and refines their heavy, direct sound. The group is active as a five-piece featuring Sebatian Abildsten, Svend Karlsson, Mattias Melchiorsen, Simon Olsen and Lasse Revsbech. The band is also previously known as Bæst.
