Aziya is a British singer-songwriter and producer from London. Born in 2000, she performs under her first name and is known as Aziya Aldridge-Moore. She begins learning guitar at the age of 10 and starts writing her own music shortly afterwards. She also learns to produce as a way of communicating through her music, and develops her skills as both a vocalist and instrumentalist.

She posts a series of cover versions online in 2020, which leads to early attention from artists including Grimes and H.E.R. Grimes reposts her version of “Oblivion”, and H.E.R invites her to perform on an Instagram Live session. The audience for that performance includes Missy Elliott and Shawn Mendes.

Aziya’s own songwriting is shaped by artists such as Patti Smith, Tame Impala and Prince. She releases her debut EP, And So I Do Not Sink, as her first major statement as an original artist.
