AxeWound

AxeWound is a British metal group formed in 2011 as a side project for Bullet For My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck, who plays lead guitar in the band. It brings together Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats on vocals, Mike Kingswood of Glamour of the Kill on rhythm guitar, Joe Copcutt, formerly of Rise to Remain, on bass, and Jason Bowld of Pitchshifter on drums. The group is active from 2011 and is based in the United Kingdom.

The band’s line-up combines musicians from several established heavy bands, and its sound is associated with groove metal, melodic metalcore, metalcore and metal. AxeWound is officially unveiled on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show, where its lead single, Post Apocalyptic Party, also premieres.
