Author is a Finnish black metal group from Pori, Finland, active from 2014. It is a black metal project associated with Finland’s black metal scene.

The name Author is also used by other acts, but this entry refers to the Finnish black metal group. The project is identified as a group rather than a solo act and is based in Pori.
