Atticus

Atticus is a rock band from Knoxville, United States, active from 1995 to 2006. The group forms in 1995 among high school friends in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The band consists of Allen Clark, Aaron Gabriel, Adam Menhinick and Donnie Shockley. Its members write, record and perform together despite living far apart from one another.

Atticus works within an indie, emo and alternative rock context, with a strongly DIY approach suggested by the way the band continues to make music outside a single shared location. The group is presented as a project that values sharing and enjoying music with others as much as commercial success.
