Attica Rage

Attica Rage are a heavy rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in 2003 by Ayrshire brothers Richie Rage on drums and Jonny Parr on vocals and guitar. Stevie Bell joins on guitar in 2007, and Matthew Ward joins on bass in 2014. The group is active from 1989 to the present, and is based in the United Kingdom.

Style and releases

The band works within heavy rock, heavy metal, thrash metal and hard rock, and releases music through Off Yer Rocka Recordings. Their catalogue includes three studio albums: Ruin Nation, Road Dog and 88MPH. They also plan a live album and a further studio album in the period described in the input.

Live activity

Attica Rage build their reputation around energetic live performances at headline shows, tours and festivals across the UK and Europe. Their festival appearances include Download, High Voltage, Hard Rock Hell, Hammerfest, Bulldog Bash, Cambridge Rock Festival, Out of the Ashes and SOS Fest. In Europe they appear at Metal Camp in Slovenia, HRH Road Trip in Ibiza and Wizzfest in Belgium.

The band supports Saxon, Diamond Head, Blitzkrieg, Armored Saint with ex-Anthrax vocalist John Bush, and Mark E. Smith & The Fall. They also share festival bills with Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Black Label Society, WASP, Testament and Down.

Notable appearances and reception

Attica Rage perform live at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards event in London in 2012 alongside Anthrax, Biohazard, Shadows Fall and Fozzy. Their recorded work receives favourable comments from Metal Hammer, Total Rock, Sunday Sport, Alexander Milas, Daily Express, Real XS, Big Cheese and Planet Mosh.
