Attention Thieves

Attention Thieves are a British alternative rock band from Reading, England, formed in 2009. The group is a project for Alex Green, who was formerly of the Arusha Accord.

Style and sound

The band’s sound combines alternative rock with post-hardcore, progressive and punk influences, while also aiming for a direct, pop-oriented immediacy. They are also associated with post-hardcore, pop-punk and hardcore.

Early activity

The debut single, Broken Promise, is recorded with producer Adam Whittaker. It is issued worldwide by Eden Music and distributed by Believe Digital. The band also has a strong online following, with 30,000 fans on Myspace, and several tracks are used by SKY for a forthcoming sports show.

Live reputation

Attention Thieves are known for energetic live performances and for writing songs that aim to work both as radio-friendly tracks and as heavier alternative rock material. Their music is described as drawing on bands such as the Police, Foo Fighters and Glassjaw.
