Atlas Genius

Atlas Genius is an Australian indietronica group from Adelaide, active since 2009. The line-up consists of Michael Jeffery, Keith Jeffery, Steven Roger Jeffery and Darren Sell.

Career

The group releases songs individually as they are recorded and performs them live. Its first single, “Trojans”, appears in 2011 and quickly draws attention online, leading to interest from record companies, music lawyers and radio promoters. The song also gains a large number of downloads in the day after a review on Neon Gold Records.

Releases

Atlas Genius makes its major-label debut with When It Was Now on Warner Bros. in 2013.

Style and line-up

The band includes Keith on vocals and guitar, Steven on bass and Michael on drums, with Darren on keyboards. Its sound is described in indie rock, electronic, indie and synthpop terms, with indietronica as the clearest genre tag.
