Aspects

Aspects are a hip hop group from Bristol, England, in the United Kingdom. They form from the city’s hip hop movement and are also associated with a wider collective of artists called FSH, or Fantastic Super Heroes. The group is made up of vocalists El Eye and Probe Mantis, producer Specify and beatboxer Monkey Moo.

Their music includes elements of soul, funk and psychedelia alongside hip hop, and they build a reputation as an inventive British rap group. Despite critical attention, they remain relatively little known. They begin as Earthbound Aspects before taking the name Aspects.

After several EPs, they release their debut album Correct English in 2001. In 2004 they release Mystery Theatre, which includes tracks such as “off the lip” and “man under the sea”. They also work with other UK hip hop artists, including DJ Format and DJ Yoda.
