As Elephants Are

As Elephants Are are a rock group from High Wycombe, England, formed in 2011. The line-up begins with Ben on vocals and guitar and Harry on bass, who start writing and recording together for a college music course. They then recruit Joe on guitar and Rob on drums, both old school friends, to complete the recording group.

The band members are described as music enthusiasts from a young age, and they are influenced by bands such as Bombay Bicycle Club and The Maccabees. Their music is associated with indie rock and alternative rock, and it is described by listeners and commentators with terms such as oceanic, epic, atmospheric, explosive and soothing.

Their first single, War Cry, appears in 2012 and attracts attention from bloggers and new music listeners in England, America and mainland Europe. The band remains active from 2011 onwards.
