Arrival

Arrival is a UK pop rock group from the late 1960s and early 1970s. The line-up includes Dyan Birch, Carroll Carter, Frank Collins, Lloyd Courtenay, Don Hume, Glen LeFleur, Paddie McHugh, Tony O'Malley, Raphael Pereira and Lee Sutherland.

Background

The band forms in London and has roots in Liverpool. It performs close harmony, folk-tinged pop rock, and is also described as a classic pop and rock act. In 1970 it reaches the UK charts with two hits, Friends, which peaks at number 8, and I Will Survive, which reaches number 16.

Albums and performances

Arrival releases two albums, The Arrival in 1970 and Heartbreak Kid in 1973. It also appears at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Later connection

Birch, Collins, McHugh and O'Malley later form Kokomo.
