Arpanet

Arpanet is a Detroit electronic music project associated with the Dataphysix laboratory, where Dopplereffekt is also recorded. It works in a Detroit techno and electro style, using science-fiction-themed sounds alongside 808-driven dance rhythms.

The name is taken from ARPANET, the network that later develops into the modern internet. Arpanet is linked to the same Detroit experimental electronic environment as Dopplereffekt, a group known for its mysterious profile in contemporary electronic music.
