Arlo

Arlo is a US power pop band from Los Angeles, active from 1994 to the present. It is formed by Nate Greely and Sean Spillane, two Texan transplants, with Ryan Maynes later joining the group; the listed members are Nate Greely, Ryan Maynes, Tom Sanford and Sean Spillane.

Releases and style

The band releases its first full-length album, Up High In The Night, on Sub Pop in 2001. Ryan Maynes contributes songs to the second album, Stab The Unstoppable Hero.

Later activity

Arlo disbands in early 2004 after the departure of its second drummer, Joaquin Revuelta, who is described as a former child prodigy and session musician.

Associated acts and individual work

After Arlo, Spillane joins Midway. Nate Greely and Ryan Maynes tour with The Seeds. Greely starts Yes Dear with members of Ozma and later plays with The Elected and Johnathan Rice. Maynes releases an album as The Electrolites and later fronts Secret Powers. In 2010, Spillane writes, performs and records original songs for the soundtrack to The Woman, a horror film directed by Lucky McKee, which is released in 2011.
