The music of Arcomnia is a cohesive mix of styles and content which includes: Sufism, Northern European Paganism, Drum&Bass, Australasian musics, C12th and C13th Galician/Portuguese song, Dubstep and Judaeo/Christian chant. Despite the wide differences in their dates of emergence and geographic location the rhythms, melodic contours and internal harmonic relationships of our sources are all formed from common material and from a shared human understanding.In using these forms and sounds as a point of departure we hope to explore an enduring substratum in which resonant archetypes can be approached and combined in a meaningful way, applicable to our times
