arch ECHO
Arch Echo is an instrumental progressive metal and jazz fusion group from Nashville, United States. It forms in 2016 and is active from then to the present. The line-up includes Adam Bentley, Joe Calderone, Joey Izzo, Richie Martinez and Adam Rafowitz.
Releases and early reception
The group’s self-titled debut album attracts international attention and includes “Hip Dipper” and “Color Wheel”, two of its best-known tracks. It follows with You Won’t Believe What Happens Next! in 2019, then releases the four-track EP Story I in late 2020.
Live activity and touring
Arch Echo tours in North America and Europe after its debut, including a mainstage appearance at UK Tech Fest in 2018. It also tours with Tony Macalpine, Periphery, Plini and Vola, and co-headlines a Japanese tour with Jacky Vincent.
Members and side projects
Joey Izzo is a keyboardist, producer and composer with a wall-of-sound approach and a melodic production style. He composes with Joe Calderone in Tangent and runs Joey Izzo Productions. Joe Calderone co-founds Tangent Music LLC, a music house that places music on TNT, FOX, E! and Celebrity Apprentice in its first year.
Adam Rafowitz wins the first Strandberg Guitars competition and is known for legato playing and fusion-influenced riffs. Adam Bentley works as a modern progressive music engineer, guitarist and composer, and his mixing tutorials are widely viewed; his solo project Absently releases its debut LP and draws attention in the progressive metal scene. Richie Martinez works full time as a session drummer and educator and is known for his active presence on Instagram, where he shares frequent drum videos.
