Anthony Pappa
Anthony Pappa is an electronic DJ and producer from Italy and Melbourne, born in 1973. He wins Australia’s D.M.C. DJ championship at the age of 15 and begins DJing in Australia before moving to England, where he aims to build a career in the country’s club scene.
Career
Pappa plays at a number of major English clubs, including Renaissance, Cream, Bedrock and Ministry of Sound. He comes to wider attention when he is selected for the first volume of Global Underground’s Nu Breed series. By his early twenties, he is recognised as a skilled DJ and is performing internationally.
He releases mixes and albums in the Renaissance and Global Underground series, and in 2001 he appears on the first volume of Choo Choo Records’ mix CD series. His work places him within progressive house, techno and tech house circles, alongside a broader electronic music profile.
