Another Michael

Another Michael is an American indie rock group that begins in 2015 as the songwriting project of Michael Doherty. The act is based in Albany and Philadelphia and remains active from 2015 to the present. It starts as a solo project before developing into a collaborative band.

Formation and members

Doherty releases the first Another Michael EP, Sans, in 2016. He then works with producer and bassist Nick Sebastiano and multi-instrumentalist Alenni Davis. Sebastiano and Davis meet while studying at the College of St. Rose, and the three begin making music and performing together in Albany, New York. The group’s listed members are Michael Doherty and Nick Sebastiano.

Recordings

The band’s second EP, and first collaborative release, is Land, which appears in 2018 on Topshelf Records. Their album New Music and Big Pop follows in 2021.
