Annisokay

Annisokay is a German post-hardcore band from Halle (Saale), active since 2007. The group is associated with emo, metalcore and post-hardcore, and its name is stylised as annisokay and pronounced “Ann is okay”.

Career

The band releases material across demos, EPs and studio albums. It issues two demo CDs and two EPs, followed by five studio albums. Its first album, The Lucid Dream[er], is initially self-released in 2012, appears in Japan in 2013 through Radtone Records, and is re-released in 2014 after the group signs with SPV GmbH. The next album, Enigmatic Smile, appears in March 2015 and reaches number 68 on the German albums chart. Later studio albums include Devil May Care (2016), Arms (2018) and Aurora (2021).

Live activity

Annisokay tours Germany several times and performs alongside acts including Silverstein, Callejon and Electric Callboy. It also appears at the 2014 edition of Summer Breeze Open Air and at Mair1 Festival in Montabaur.

Members

The current line-up includes Christoph Wieczorek on clean vocals, guitars and programming; Nico Vaeen on drums; Rudi Schwarzer on unclean vocals; and Peter Leukhardt on bass. Former members include Kay Westphal, Torsten Swan, Sebastian Lohrisch, Felix Fröhlich, Simon Sadewasser, Daniel Herrmann, Philipp Kretzschmar, Dave Grunewald and Norbert Rose, who serves in both bass and lead guitar roles during different periods.
