Anne-Marie Sanderson

Anne-Marie Sanderson is a British singer-songwriter from England who lives in Southern Oregon. Her music is associated with the singer-songwriter tradition and is often compared with the work of Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake.

She releases the EP Shadows & Sparks, which appears in 2015 and brings together songs built around contrasting themes such as light and dark, mystery and certainty, and love and loss. The record is arranged for a chamber-folk ensemble with Sanderson on guitar and vocals, Mirabai Peart on violin, Anna Fritz on cello, and Erin Stephens on percussion.

Sanderson performs with a regular live band that includes Erin Stephens on percussion. Mirabai Peart is also identified through her work with Joanna Newsom, and Anna Fritz through the Portland Cello Project.
