Angeles

Angeles is a Cuban boy band active from 2012 to the present. The name is also used by several other acts in different genres, including a hard rock and glam metal group from Los Angeles, a progressive trance project, and an electronica alias.

The Los Angeles-based Angeles begins as Avant-Garde in 1975, changes its name to English in 1976, and takes the name Angeles in 1977. Dale Lytle and Dave Raudman bring together the musicians in the band. The group plays hard rock and glam metal, performs at Reseda Country Club with Bon Jovi in 1984, and has 12 albums to its name. Its album No Limits features on 95.5 KLOS’s Local Licks Sunday night programme in 1999. Later releases include Fire It Up and Hell On High Heels, and the band announces a new line-up with Dave Lytle, Mason Oliver, Steven Stiers and Danny Basulto for the album Running Like An Outlaw.

Angeles also refers to a progressive trance collaboration between Jay Welsh and Martin Cartledge, active from 1996 to 1999 and associated with the single “High Horse”. Another Angeles credit is an alias of electronica artist Soho Rezanejad, used from 2016 to 2017.
