Anetha

Anetha is a French DJ and producer based in Paris, and also works as a label owner and label manager. Trained as an architect, she moves fully in music and is associated with industrial techno, tech trance and techno. Her style draws on EBM, trance, electro and old school 1990s techno, and she is known for energetic, unpredictable sets with a varied track selection.

Career

She appears as part of a newer generation of French DJs. Her performances take her to clubs and festivals including Concrete, Bassiani, Under Bron, Faust, Village Underground, De School and Berghain, as well as Soenda, Weather Festival, ADE, Nation of Gondwana and Freedom Festival. She also plays events such as DGTL, Dour Festival, Solidays and Scopitone, and appears on a DVS1-curated Fabric night. A Boiler Room Amsterdam set brings wider attention and is ranked by Boiler Room among the best techno sets of the year.

Releases and labels

Anetha releases her first EP on Work Them Records in 2015. She later issues tracks on a range of labels, including the track Acid Train on Anagram in 2017. In 2018 she releases two acid-oriented tracks with Hector Oaks on a split EP, and an EP titled Bionic Romance on Blocaus Series. She co-founds Blocaus Series with her collective in 2016 to support the French local scene.

Mama Told Ya

She runs Mama Told Ya, a solo project and label focused on experimentation, alternative talent and collaborative releases across different forms of art.
