Andy Taylor

Andy Taylor is a guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer from Cullercoats, United Kingdom. He is best known for his work with Duran Duran and The Power Station. Born in 1961, he tours Europe while still in his teens before joining Duran Duran in 1980.

Duran Duran and The Power Station

Taylor becomes a member of Duran Duran in 1980 and later helps form The Power Station in 1985 with John Taylor, Tony Thompson and Robert Palmer. The project reflects his preference for rock and roll, in contrast to the synth-pop direction of Duran Duran. He later returns to Duran Duran in 2001 and leaves again in 2006. He is also listed as a member of Boogie Box High and Mark Knopfler’s Guitar Heroes.

Solo work

After leaving Duran Duran, Taylor begins a solo career. His solo albums include Thunder and Dangerous. He also reunites with The Power Station in 1996 to record the group’s second album.
