Andy Marshall is a British film composer whose work combines classical and jazz influences with modern electronic and acoustic instruments, alongside dance music. He develops film music through a blend of traditional scoring techniques and contemporary styles.

During the 1990s, he writes and produces dance music releases with the Scottish DJ Colin Walker. These releases appear on labels including Soma Records, Ministry of Sound and Limbo Records. His interest in film music develops in the late 1990s after he attends a screening of a Gérard Depardieu film that features a track he has co-written and produced.

Marshall then studies Music for Film and Television in Edinburgh before training under Hummie Mann, the two-time Emmy Award-winning composer. He goes on to score short films, feature films and television adverts.
