Andreya Triana

Andreya Triana is a singer and songwriter from South East London. Her work draws on improvisation and live looping, and she develops a one-woman show called Freeflo Sessions, in which she uses a sampler to build vocals, percussive sounds and beats in real time. This project leads to her place at the 2006 Red Bull Music Academy in Australia.

Collaborations and early releases

She begins working with producer Flying Lotus on Tea Leaf Dancers, a collaboration that brings her to the attention of Bonobo. She then features on Bonobo’s 2009 track The Keeper, tours America and Canada with the Bonobo live band, and plays the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury with new material. She also signs a three-album deal with Ninja Tune Records.

Albums and singles

Her debut album, Lost Where I Belong, appears in 2010 and is produced by Bonobo. The album includes the tracks Far Closer, Lost Where I Belong and A Town Called Obsolete, and she also features on Stay The Same and Eyesdown. In 2015, she releases Giants on Counter Records, the Ninja Tune offshoot, with production by Matt Hales. That release is preceded by the singles Everything You Never Had Pt. II and Gold.
