Andie

Andie is a singer-songwriter known for original songs that combine a jazzy finger-picking guitar style with a soulful voice. She is identified as Andrea Parker and is from the United Kingdom. She begins by sharing original songs and cover versions on her YouTube channel, iwantaltitude.

Releases

Her first release, deciduous*, is recorded when she is 18 and funded through a Kickstarter campaign. It appears in 2015. Her second release, one foot in the grave, appears in 2017 and is also funded by Kickstarter; it features session musicians adding drums and bass to her acoustic songs. In early 2019 she releases classic andie, which includes live recordings of older material as well as some new songs. She later uses Kickstarter again for the tiny album, which is released in March 2020.

YouTube projects and live performance

Andie runs a series on YouTube called vandie, in which independent Australian musicians perform their original songs live in the back of her van.

Travelling home

In late 2017 she buys a van and converts it into her home. Since then, she lives in various vans and buses while travelling around different parts of Australia.
