Career

Macdonald rises to prominence in 2007 with her debut album, This Is the Life, and its title track, which appears as the album’s fourth single. The song reaches number one in six countries and enters the top ten in eleven others. Her first single, “Poison Prince,” is released in 2007, and This Is the Life follows later that year.

She signs to Vertigo, the label also home to artists including The Killers and Razorlight. Her second studio album, A Curious Thing, includes “Don’t Tell Me That It’s Over” as its lead single and is followed by Life in a Beautiful Light in 2012, led by “Slow It Down.”
