AM/FM

AM/FM is an indie rock group from Philadelphia made up of Brian Sokel and Michael Parsell. The name is also used by a different act, AM-FM, a disco and boogie band from the early 1980s, but this entry refers to the Philadelphia group.

Releases

The group’s first release is the Audiol EP on Skylab Operations. It follows with the full-length Mutilate Us and, later in the same year, Getting into Sinking. In 2003, AM/FM releases the four-track EP The Sky is the New Ground.

Activity

The group is active in the early 2000s and is associated with indie, funk, chamber pop, soul and Go-Go.
