Amatorski

Amatorski is a Belgian band from Ghent, active since 2007. The group has a melancholy, narrative style and is associated with alternative music, ambient, trip-hop and slowcore, with comparisons made to Portishead, Sigur Rós and Radiohead.

History

The band reaches the finals of the Belgian rock contest Rockrally in 2010. In the same period, the song Come Home reaches number one in De Afrekening, the alternative chart on Studio Brussel. Their debut EP, Same Stars We Shared, appears in 2010, followed by the debut full-length TBC in May 2011.

Line-up

The group consists of Inne Eysermans, Sebastiaan van den Branden, Hilke Ros, Christophe Claeys, and Laurens Van Bouwelen. Eysermans handles songs, production, voice, piano, guitar and accordion; van den Branden plays guitar, programming and voice; Ros plays double bass, synth bass and voice; and Claeys plays drums, vibraphone and trumpet.
