ALVARO

ALVARO is the recording name of Alvaro Peña-Rojas, a singer-songwriter from Valparaíso, Chile, born in 1943. He works in house, experimental, outsider and psychedelic music, and is also associated with the Nurse With Wound list.

Peña-Rojas releases music from the 1970s onwards and has issued more than 18 albums and singles. In 1974 he is a founding member of the 101’ers with Joe Strummer. He lives in Germany and continues to tour in Europe and Latin America.
