Altar Of Plagues are an Irish group from Cork, Ireland, active from 2006 to 2015. Their line-up includes Bryan O’Sullivan, James Kelly and Johnny King. They are associated with atmospheric black metal, black metal and post-metal, and are also described as a post-black metal band.

Their music is commonly placed within black metal, ambient, progressive metal and post-metal, although none of these labels fully captures their sound. The band identifies most closely with black metal, while also drawing influence from artists as different as Emperor, Björk and Arvo Pärt.
