Ally Venable is an American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter from Kilgore, Texas. She performs with the Ally Venable Band and works in blues rock and rock. Her early releases establish her as a Texas-based electric blues artist with a strong profile in the state’s blues scene.

Career

Venable is born on 7 April 1999 in Kilgore, Texas. She releases her debut EP, Wise Man, in 2013, when she is 14, and it helps establish her reputation as a young figure in the Lone Star State’s blues community. Her third album, No Glass Shoes, released with Connor Ray Music, reaches number 16 on the RMR Electric Blues Charts for 2016. Her second album, Puppet Show, debuts at number 7 on the Billboard Blues Albums Chart. She also releases Texas Honey in 2019, with a video directed by John Chambers.

Awards and recognition

Venable receives the ETX Music Awards female guitar player of the year title in 2014 and 2015. The Ally Venable Band wins the ETX Music Awards blues band of the year in 2015 and 2016. She is also described as a notable act for younger blues audiences in the United States.
