All Pigs Must Die

All Pigs Must Die is a Boston, United States hardcore punk group active since 2010. The band’s lineup includes Kevin Baker, Ben Koller, Adam Wentworth, Matt Woods and Brian Izzi. Its sound is rooted in crust punk, hardcore punk and metalcore, and it is also associated with hardcore, chaotic hardcore and punk more broadly.

Formation and members

The group forms around musicians already involved in other Massachusetts hardcore and metal projects. Kevin Baker is known from The Hope Conspiracy, Ben Koller from Converge, and Adam Wentworth and Matt Woods from Bloodhorse; Wentworth is also a member of Acid Tiger. The band begins in 2010, despite later activity building from material and recordings made around that period.

Releases and recording

All Pigs Must Die signs to Nonbeliever Records, an imprint of Shirts & Destroy. Its debut EP is recorded at Kurt Ballou’s GodCity Studio and appears in October 2010. The release features cover artwork by German illustrator Florian Bertmer. The band returns to GodCity Studio with Ballou for its next recording session in December 2010. In 2011, the group announces that its next album is titled God Is War and that it has signed with Southern Lord. A second full-length album follows in 2013.
