Alise Joste is a Latvian singer-songwriter from Rīga. She performs as a solo artist and is associated with indie folk, acoustic and folk music, with a focus on female vocals.

Before releasing her debut album in 2011, she already builds a steady audience and attracts critical approval through festival appearances and musical sessions. Her self-produced music is described as having a natural, open and soulful sound, and her performances are noted for creating a calm, reflective atmosphere.

In late 2012, she performs outside Latvia for the first time, playing shows in France and Portugal.
