Alinka

Alinka is a dance music DJ and producer from Kyïv and Berlin who works in house music, with influences from Chicago house, Detroit techno and the club scenes of Berlin, London and Paris. Raised on Chicago’s house sound, she develops a style that stays close to house while drawing in wider electronic references, including techno and more experimental club music.

She builds her profile both as a DJ and as a producer, and is known for playing with technical control and focus on house music. Her work draws support from DJs and clubs on the international circuit, including Heidi, Maceo Plex, Maya Jane Coles and Ellen Alien.

She appears at clubs and events including Berghain/Panorama Bar, Lux Fragil, Printworks, Circoloco at DC-10 and Concrete in Paris. Her career takes a significant turn in 2012 when she meets Shaun J. Wright, formerly of Hercules and Love Affair, and the two begin a long-running creative partnership.

Together, they launch the Twirl label and continue to work in collaboration as well as on separate projects. Their releases appear on labels including The Classic Music Company, Jackathon, Crosstown Rebels and Leftroom.

She also works under the name Cybersex.
