Alina Orlova
Alina Orlova is a Lithuanian singer-songwriter from Utenos Apskritis, Lithuania. She is born in 1988 and works in folk music, with piano as a central element of her sound.
Career
Orlova first draws attention after recording around seventeen demo tracks that circulate quickly online. The demos include covers of songs by Viktor Tsoi and Moby, although most of the material is written by Orlova herself. This early collection helps establish her reputation before the release of her debut album.
Debut album
After nine months of recording, Orlova releases her first official album, Laukinis Šuo Dingo, in 2008. The album includes some reworked versions of the earlier demos alongside new material, and it is arranged in a sparse, minimal style.
Other work
Orlova also presents visual art under her own name.
