Alien

Alien is a Swedish hard rock band from Gothenburg, active since 1986. The band is associated with melodic rock, AOR and 1980s hard rock, and its current membership includes Jim Jidhed.

Career

The group forms in Gothenburg in 1987, with guitarist Tony Borg and vocalist Jim Jidhed among the original members. It becomes best known for the song “Only One Woman”, a cover of a Marbles track, and for “Brave New Love”, which features in the 1988 film The Blob.

Alien’s self-titled debut album appears in 1988 and is linked to the band’s best-known material. The group remains identified with Swedish melodic hard rock and AOR from the late 1980s onward.
