Alien T

Alien T is the recording name of Marco Collini, an Italian hardcore and gabber producer and DJ born in 1983 in Campobasso. He begins with a general interest in music and develops a strong interest in electronic music during childhood. In 2000 he hears hardcore music for the first time on the compilation Extreme 2000, which leads him to focus on the style.

Early DJ work and meeting key artists

In 2002, Collini buys his first turntables and starts developing as a DJ. As hardcore is not available in his home city, he travels to Rome to buy vinyl and CDs, where he meets Hellsystem and Amnesys at Virus Records and Deejay Mix. He becomes close friends with Amnesys, and through their conversations, along with advice from Dario, he gains a deeper understanding of hardcore music and decides to begin producing his own tracks.

First performances and record debut

Between 2004 and 2005, he plays at medium and large parties in Switzerland and wins one of the Megarave new talent DJ contests. By the end of 2006, he sends a demo to G-Net Records, a sublabel of Traxtorm Records. The Stunned Guys choose to release his first record, I'll be tha hardest E.P., in 2007, and the Alien T name is then established. That release leads to his first appearance at Florida, described as a major Italian hardcore club, where he performs at events including Sunbeat 2007 and The Nightmare in Italy.

Growth in the Italian hardcore scene

In 2008 he plays for the first time on the main floor of United Hardcore Forces, and also performs at Masters of Hardcore in Italy and Sunbeat 2008. At the end of that year he moves to Adro in the Brescia area, where he can be closer to the main Italian hardcore events. In the same town, Claudio Lancinhouse gives him access to one of his studios, which helps him develop his production work.

Releases, events and association with Traxtorm

His live bookings increase in 2009, and he appears at many of the leading Italian hardcore events, including United Hardcore Forces 09, Masters Of Hardcore Italian Freakz, E-Mission, Fusion-E, Conflict 01, History Of Hardcore, Kick.It and Sunbeat 09. He also performs on the Hardcore Italia stage at Dominator Festival in the Netherlands. One of his tracks, Wartime, is selected for the event’s official compilation. Around the same period, he produces Bullets in their heads and Ghetto mentality, which receive a positive response from Maxx of The Stunned Guys, leading to releases on Traxtorm Records.

Alien T works within hardcore techno and gabber, and his career is closely connected to the Italian hardcore circuit, with links to artists and labels such as Hellsystem, Amnesys, Claudio Lancinhouse, G-Net Records and Traxtorm Records.
