Alice Chater is a British singer, songwriter and dancer from Margate, United Kingdom. Born in 1995, she graduates from Italia Conti and later works in pop and R&B.

Career

A meeting with will.i.am leads to her signing to Virgin EMI Records in the UK and Capitol Records in the US. She first releases music under the name alice, with debut single “GIRLS X BOYS” appearing in April 2018. She then releases “Heartbreak Hotel” in July 2018 and soon returns to using her full name to avoid confusion with other artists of a similar name.

Later in 2018, she releases “Hourglass” and “Wonderland (My Name is Alice)”. In 2019, she builds a larger following through social media and releases the singles “Thief” and “Tonight”. That year she also appears on “Got It All” with Professor Green, which becomes her most played and highest-charting song in the UK so far. Iggy Azalea also expresses interest in working with her, and this leads to the single “Lola” in November 2019.

In 2020, she releases “Two Of Us” in May and “Pretty In Pink” in July, both as singles from her first EP, Aries, which appears in August 2020. After a four-year break from releasing music, she leaves her label, signs with Epic Records and RZ3 Recordings, and says she is working on an album. She then releases “Don’t Let My Boyfriend Get In Your Way” as a lead single, followed by “COME ALIVE” later in 2024.
