Alice Boman

Alice Boman is a Swedish singer-songwriter from Malmö, Sweden. Her music sits in dream pop and indie pop, with a lo-fi edge, and she is also described as working within the singer-songwriter tradition. She is born in 1987.

Early releases

Boman records her first EP, Skisser, in her bedroom. The title means “sketches” in Swedish, and the release is originally made without the intention that it would be issued publicly. It comes out on Adrian Recordings and is later re-released on limited edition vinyl. A digital remix EP follows in November 2013, featuring versions of the Skisser tracks “Waiting” and “Skiss 2”.

Subsequent work

In June 2014, Boman releases her second EP, EP II. She later issues the single “Dreams” in 2017, and her album Dream On appears in 2020.

Recognition and use in film and television

Boman’s voice is sometimes compared to Nina Simone. Her music appears in a range of film and television productions, including 13 Reasons Why, Suits, Paper Towns, Transparent, Trinkets, Wanderlust, The Resident and Valeria.
