Alibi

Alibi is a trance collaboration between Armin van Buuren and Tijs Verwest, known for the single Eternity. The name is also used for several unrelated acts, including an indie-rock band from Hastings, a Japanese visual kei and oshare kei group, and other projects in different countries and genres.

Trance collaboration

As a trance duo, Alibi brings together Dutch producers Armin van Buuren and DJ Tiësto. The project releases only one single, Eternity.

Other acts using the name

One Alibi is a four-piece indie-rock band from Hastings, with Maxi Williams on lead vocals and guitar, Matt Edwards on lead guitar and vocals, Benji Meacham on bass and vocals, and Wesley Brown on drums. This group forms in 2015, plays extensively in the South East of England, appears at Reading & Leeds Festival 2017, performs on BBC Introducing the South, and has the single “Space, Man” played by Huw Stephens on Radio 1. Their listed influences include The Black Keys, The Libertines, Spring King and The Smiths.

Another is a Japanese visual kei and oshare kei band styled as ALiBi, also written as ＡＬｉＢｉ. This group forms in 2008 and is signed to Loop Ash. Its members are カイ on vocals, 迦瑛 on guitar and フミヤ on bass, each of whom has prior band history before joining ALiBi.

The name also belongs to an Australian rock band from Brisbane, Queensland, with Mark Folker on lead vocals and guitar, James Cheetham on lead guitar and backing vocals, Matt Fairhurst on drums and percussion, and Arryn Bills on bass.
