Alexandria

Alexandria is the name used by several different artists, including an R&B singer-songwriter from Atlanta, a female-fronted metal band from South Florida, and a singer-songwriter from Western Australia. The R&B act is based on Atlanta and releases music on Awful Records. Drawing on Aaliyah and neo-soul, Alexandria releases Rebirth in 2014, then follows it with two further EPs with producer Ethereal: Bad in 2015 and Promise in 2016.

South Florida metal band

The South Florida group forms in 2006 through a collaboration between drummer Erick Castrillon and vocalist Allie Zangari. After a period of searching for a complete lineup, the band includes Allie Zangari on vocals, Rob Tripp and Renzo Iparraguirre on guitars, Carlos Vila on bass, and Erick Castrillon on drums. Their sound combines heavy melodies and harmonies with operatic vocals. They receive an honourable mention at Miami’s Indie Film & Music Festival and open for touring bands including Sonata Arctica, The Agonist and Kamelot at the Culture Room. After Allie Zangari leaves in late 2007, Sarah Teets joins temporarily from January to August 2008, and the band then performs instrumentally until May 2009, when Rayna Tamarin becomes the new lead singer.

Western Australian singer-songwriter

The Western Australian artist Alexandria, whose real name is Rianna Corcoran, works in styles ranging from indie folk to dark pop. Her releases include Fallen Angel, and one of her best-known tracks is “Always An Angel”.
