Alex Celler

Alex Celler, also known as Alexandros Berdos and sometimes releasing music under the aliases Kemistry and Berdos, is a Greek house and techno producer and DJ based in London. He is from Thessaloniki, Greece, and moves to London in 2004, where he establishes his studio.

Style and production

His work centres on house with swing, tribal rhythms and techy beats, and he is also associated with minimal, electronic, tech house, tribal and techno. His DJ sets draw on both older and current records, moving between house and techno with deep basslines and tribal elements. He is known for dancefloor-oriented productions and for playing much of his own material in his sets.

Releases and support

His productions and remixes are released and licensed on labels including Cocoon, Tuning Spork, Area Remote, Freak N Chic, NRK, Buzzing Fly, Murmur and Cinematic. His music is supported by DJs including Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, RRP Soundsystem, Dennis Ferrer, DJ Sneak, Masters At Work, Danny Tenaglia and Laurent Garnier.

Performances

He appears as a guest DJ in London clubs including The End, Ministry of Sound, The Cross, Canvas, Egg and East Village, and also performs regularly across the UK and Europe.
