Alex and the Christopher Hale Band
Alex and the Christopher Hale Band is a Nottingham group led by Alexander Christopher Hale. The name is also shortened to ACHB, or AatCHB.
The band draws on a back catalogue of more than 200 DIY bedroom pop songs written over about a decade. Its songs are presented in a fast, high-energy style and include subjects such as troublesome housemates, unhelpfully prophetic dreams and the former USSR.
Line-up
The current version of the group is active from January 2019 and includes Baz Barradell on drums, Dom Brady on guitar, Stephen Marsh on guitar and Dan Sheen on bass.
Performances and releases
The band appears on bills with Jeffrey Lewis, The Wave Pictures and The Burning Hell. It releases its first singles, The Worst Way to Die and 200 Songs, in June 2019.
