Alessa

Southern New Hampshire screamo band

Alessa is a four-piece hardcore punk and screamo band from Southern New Hampshire. The group forms in early 2007 and uses a sound built around dark, driving passages together with the more spastic guitar work associated with screamo and related bands. Its line-up includes Bob Pearsall, Justin Valliere, Andrew French and Keith Vecchione, with former members Rob Skelly, Rob Brown, Brian Nyberg and Bryan Donovan.

Releases and activity

The band releases a demo in summer 2007, followed by a 7-inch EP, My Brother Was Eaten by Wolves on the Connecticut Turnpike, in summer 2008. It also releases a split 7-inch with Chicago emo-violence band Parrhesia. The group has additional recordings and plans to issue them on a discography cassette and in other formats.
