Alarico is an Italian techno DJ and producer from Bergamo. Based in Milan, he starts making music in 2015, moving through clubs as a DJ while learning production.

Style and development

His work is strongly shaped by 1990s techno, and he explores hardgroove techno and techno. He first uses the Alarico alias in 2019 after working across several techno sub-genres. The name is intended as a statement for a personal style, and his sound is described through fast-paced rhythms and groove-focused patterns.

Releases and labels

He begins releasing music in 2020 on Joton’s Newrhytmic Records. He later launches the vinyl imprint Katana Records, which focuses on the harder, more intense side of his techno approach. His debut on Amsterdam-based OOM Records follows, and he also receives an invitation to release on another artist label, along with a remix commission.

Background and influences

His approach is also connected to a background in hip hop and Japanese culture. He presents himself as an artist interested in pushing the boundaries of sound and in exploring different possibilities within techno.
