Alana Springsteen

Alana Springsteen is an American country singer and songwriter from Virginia Beach, United States. She grows up in Virginia Beach with her parents and three younger brothers, and starts making music at an early age. She begins playing guitar at seven and writes her first song, “Fairy Tale”, at nine.

When she is 10, her family moves to Nashville, Tennessee to support her music career. She secures a publishing deal at 14. She also performs early in her career at minor league baseball games. Springsteen says that both of her grandfathers are pastors, and that her father, Bill Springsteen, is a real estate investor. She is not related to Bruce Springsteen.

Releases

In 2019, Springsteen releases her debut EP, Slow Down, which includes a single of the same name. In 2023, she releases three EPs: messing it up, figuring it out and getting it right. These are later combined into her first full-length album, Twenty Something.

Twenty Something appears in 2023 and includes collaborations with Chris Stapleton on “Ghost In My Guitar” and Mitchell Tenpenny on “Goodbye Looks Good On You”. “Goodbye Looks Good On You” becomes her first recording to receive RIAA Gold certification. She co-writes all the songs on the album with Nashville-based songwriters, including Liz Rose.

Later work and performances

In 2024, Springsteen collaborates with Dutch DJ Tiësto on “Hot Honey”, which reaches number one on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. She tours in 2024 as an opening act on Luke Bryan’s Mind of a Country Boy tour. In October 2024, her tour bus catches fire, destroying musical gear and personal items, and she cancels tour dates in Texas before returning to performing. Later that month, she releases the singles “Cowboy” and “Hold My Beer”. In December 2024, she releases an EP drawn from her appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.

Springsteen plays piano and guitar on her records. She says that Taylor Swift is her musical role model.
