Alan Braxe is a Paris-born electronic and French house producer and DJ, born in 1973. He is associated with the development of the French music scene and with the French Touch sound.

Career

Braxe begins releasing records in 1997 with “Vertigo” on Roulé. In 1998 he works with Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and vocalist Benjamin Diamond as Stardust, releasing “Music Sounds Better with You”, a major international hit that spends weeks at the top of the charts. The track is also known for its Michel Gondry-directed video.

His work attracts a wide range of major artists, and he makes remixes for Björk, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Jamiroquai and Beyoncé. He also works with hip-hop MC Killa Kela on writing and production, showing a broader range of musical interests beyond house and French electronic music.

Vulture Music

Braxe’s career is closely linked with his label Vulture Music, which he builds as a space for his own releases and for other artists. The label works with artists including Lifelike, Kris Menace, Fred Falke, Das Glow, Fenech Soler and Pacific! It issues a run of well-known tracks including “Chrystal City”, “Running”, “Discopolis” and “Intro”.

Collaborations and projects

He is part of several collaborative acts, including Alan Braxe & Fred Falke, Braxe + Falcon, The Paradise and Defender. Fred Falke is one of the artists who appears within the Vulture circle as well as in Braxe’s collaborative work.
