Al Storm

Al Storm is the electronic music producer Alistair Taylor, from Kingston upon Thames in the United Kingdom. Born in 1980, he works in hardcore, happy hardcore, UK hardcore and hard dance, and he is closely associated with rave and hardcore music.

Career

He first records in the mid to late 1990s under the name DJ Storm, when his productions gain attention from major labels in the genre. His early work includes a large number of remixes and original tracks, and he continues to develop a wide-ranging output across different styles of hardcore and dance music. He remains active in the scene for more than 15 years and is known for adapting his sound while staying within the music he prefers.

Over time he releases music through his own labels, including Destructive Force, Warped Science and 24/7, and he appears on many other imprints and compilations. He also engineers tracks, including some that are not always credited to him. His production work includes remixes for the Prodigy and Dizzee Rascal, as well as original material.

DJ work and projects

Al Storm performs internationally, with appearances ranging from New Zealand to Glasgow, and he features on line-ups for promoters and events including HTID, Slammin Vinyl, Fantazia, Raindance, Vibealite and United Dance. He also works under the pseudonyms Eat Rave and Black & White, among others.

He is involved with HU from its second volume in 2007, and signs to the label in 2013. He also records in the collaborations Al Storm & Euphony and Rob IYF & Al Storm, and he is associated with Bad Onion Records.
