AIROD

AIROD is a techno producer and DJ based in Paris, France. He is also the owner of the label Elixyr. His work is associated with hard techno and techno, with an emphasis on dark, muscular, industrial-leaning sounds.

Career

AIROD is Dario Brkic, who comes from Paris. He breaks through internationally in 2018 with his debut solo 12-inch on Molekül. That release draws support from artists including Dasha Rush, Blawan, Randomer and Kobosil.

He builds a profile on the French techno circuit through a shared bill with Amelie Lens at REX Club, which leads to further involvement with her Exhale parties around the world. He becomes a regular presence on those events.

Releases and labels

AIROD releases the 12-inch Voltage on Amelie Lens’s label Lenske. The record contains four club-focused tracks. He also joins Dax J’s Monnom Black label and contributes a track to the label’s first various-artist release, The World Of Monnom Black.

Style

His productions are described as hard, forceful techno with a corrosive edge, aimed at heavy warehouse dancefloors. He works within a Parisian techno context while developing his own sound through label activity, releases and live bookings.
