Aidan Logan
Aidan Logan is an Irish singer-songwriter based in Belfast. He releases a debut EP called Facing Forward, a four-track collection that presents his work in pop, folk, country and rock styles. His songs draw on influences from American artists and bands including The Killers, Billy Joel, Bruno Mars and Garth Brooks.
Background and live work
Logan spends years developing his performance on the local circuit in Belfast, appearing at venues including The Empire and Mandela Hall, along with other city venues. He also shares bills with Southern, Conor Scott and The Late Two. A major live moment in his career is the Big IF Concert in Belfast’s Botanic Gardens, where he appears on stage with Two Door Cinema Club and Soak in front of a large crowd.
Recording and songs
Facing Forward is produced by Indian producer Ganesh Kumble. The EP includes the songs “Tell Me”, “Matter of Fact” and “Unfinished Melody”. “Tell Me” has a country feel, “Matter of Fact” has a more reflective mood, and “Unfinished Melody” uses orchestral elements.
Reception
The EP receives airplay on BBC Radio Ulster. “Matter of Fact” is named Single of the Week by Blast FM, and “Tell Me” is playlisted by Queen’s Radio. The release also receives positive attention from GoldenPlec and Chordblossom.
